Wellness & Ayurveda
Sri Lanka has been healing people for three thousand years. This journey is how you let it.
A private way through Sri Lanka
Ayurveda did not begin as a spa treatment. It is one of the world's oldest systems of medicine, over three thousand years old, and Sri Lanka is one of only two countries where the World Health Organisation recognises it as an official medical system. The treatments, the practitioners, the plants, the philosophy: all of it is genuine here in a way that cannot be replicated in a hotel spa anywhere else.
This journey is built around the retreat as the centrepiece, not the excursion. You arrive at a dedicated Ayurvedic property, meet your consulting physician, and begin a programme designed around your specific constitution and needs. The touring, the ancient temples, the hill country, the coast, frames the retreat rather than competing with it.
This is not a holiday with a massage included. It is a deliberate journey toward something, rest, restoration, clarity, or simply ten days of intentional living. Your guide and vehicle are yours throughout. The pace is entirely yours to set.

What you’ll remember
- Meet your Ayurvedic physician on arrival and begin a personalised treatment programme, consultation, pulse reading diagnosis, and a daily schedule designed around your individual constitution
- Wake without an alarm for the first time in months, the retreat day begins when your body decides it does, not when a schedule demands it
- Eat food prepared specifically for your body. Ayurvedic cuisine is not restrictive, it is precise, and the difference in how it feels is noticeable within days
- Sit in the hill country silence above Kandy as the morning mist lifts off the valleys, the kind of stillness that makes the noise of ordinary life seem, briefly, very far away
- Walk through the ancient ruins of Sigiriya with a different quality of attention, the retreat sharpens perception in ways that are difficult to explain before you experience them
- End each evening at a property designed around quiet, no lobby bar, no obligation to be anywhere, just the sounds of the garden and whatever you brought to read
- Carry something home beyond photographs, a treatment protocol, a dietary principle, a daily practice, that gives the journey a life beyond the journey itself
