Sri Lanka is a destination filled with incredible variety. From surf towns and safari parks to tea hills, temples, train journeys, and hidden coastal gems. It’s the kind of place that offers something different for every traveller, which is exactly what makes it so special.
But with so much to see and so many different routes to take, planning a trip can quickly become overwhelming — especially for travellers new to Asia or unsure where to start.
That’s why we created this space.
Who we are
After many visits back to Sri Lanka, founder Sankha, who was born in Sri Lanka before moving to New Zealand, realised how difficult it was for travellers to truly understand everything the country has to offer without local knowledge and guidance.
Together with the help of his partner, Jasmine, the pair found themselves constantly sharing recommendations, planning itineraries, and helping friends and family discover the best of Sri Lanka. What started as sharing insider tips and favourite places naturally grew into the idea of creating a platform designed to make Sri Lanka feel easier to navigate, more approachable, and less overwhelming.
Together with co-founder Dinu, who grew up in Sri Lanka and knows the island the way only a local can, they combined local knowledge, travel experience, and on-the-ground insight to create B-Voya, helping travellers discover the very best of Sri Lanka with confidence.
